How to clean an OPEN BOTTOM AQUARIUM ?

Back

Height 120cm OPEN BOTTOM TANK That is how you maintain an open bottom fish tank. Simple and easy. No need to remove rock, plant, fish etc etc. Siphon out the dirt and top up the same amount of water you removed. Just ten minutes and the job is done ! UPRIGHT NORMAL TANK Cleaning a normal upright tank with a similar height of 120cm is much more difficult. Removing dirt from the bottom is not easy unless the water level is reduced and rock is removed. ALGAE IN AQUARIUM Like mould in our homes, algae in aquariums cannot be completely prevented or stopped from growing. Algae growth will occur naturally in any healty aquarium, no matter how well maintained it is. Once algae take root in an aquarium, they can grow very rapidly if the conditions are right. Like other plants, algae need light, water and nutrients to grow. . Since the aquarium is a body of water, you'll have to control the other two factors -- light and nutrients -- in order to prevent an algae scourge.
