If we're going to talk about the ultimate grunge band, i would have to say THE WIPERS eclipse any of these big name bands, including Nirvana, Soundgarden and Alice in Chains. Nirvana covered their songs Return of the Rat and D-7.. Cobain was a huge fan too and i think their albums Youth of America and Over the Edge are about as grunge as it gets. I can't believe people call Stone Pimple Toilets grunge and don't mention the Wipers.

no you can't say that they were the best grunge band aic is much more talented and was only not as big bcuz of people thinking they were "too metal" apparently people dnt listen too brother alot... aic was better nirvana was bigger big story
