lol no chasse step? my coach always focus on the "skipping" part of the footwork, but i gotta admit, with a chasse step is is faster to move back to the center

thats the horriblt thing about it though, cause you do have to be loose when you play being ridgid wil only limit what you can do.

its true that its not common practice to crossover and it can be bad too but there are international players that do it but they do a back crossover. its liek comming into the net you can shuffle or crossover.

stupid video! It is just plainly wrong! you shouldn't cross over your legs when you move to the right back court (for right handed player). See Peter Rasmussen -Footwork Drill for a good footwork drill

what hes doing is a front corssover, you can do that a back crossover or simply shuffle to the back corner so whatever works best for you. some work better for different people and its not always gonna be the shuffle thats the fastest.

more to show how its done, the korean videos do have their flaws but as for right tachnique they can be helpful for those who are not recieving coaching at provincial or national level. my coach does go over stuff that is not even mentioned in the videos and when i coach i mention way more than whats shown.

problem is, its not in the corner! cant they see it? its not even at the baseline box.... duh... poor video.
s2Motoko (January 22nd, 2007 @ 7:09 am)
not bad...but my question is...why are his feet slanted at an angle? in a fast game, all its guna do is slow him down, because if you choose not to do the scissor hop, you're just going to slip
