yeah but now we get to look forward to batman fighting cops in the next one.(which happens a lot in the comics) So you lose something you gain something...

Actually, as awesome as The Dark Knight was, I hated the ending. I mean really, Batman takes the fall for the people Dent killed? Why couldn't they just pretend The Joker did it? Then there was the fact that they had to kill of Dent, ruling out being able to use him in the next film which would have been awesome. Great movie, but the ending drove me crazy.
