To further explain i said if i needed to DEFEND myself i would could getting on an airplane or boat and traveling thousands of miles to them doesnt qualify as defending yourself thats attacking. In 10-20 years China WILL BE the largest economy in the world and its military expenditures also increase every year. And theres many indirect ways of stealing oil.

Dogfather95... im not trying to insult you, but you are slightly wrong. no offense. our soldiers have raped, murdered and tortured people, just like all other countries have. and those soldier are now imprisoned and are doing time. 2. the chinese arent taking over but they are growing in power. 3. the Us has not been the #1 military power since 1776. we became number one probably around WWII.

look. china is growing, yes. but their economy still sucks and their economy cant support being a superpower. maybe in the future they can become a superpower, but most likely it will be a while. yes, they have more soldiers than the united states. but the united states has better trained soldiers and better technology. yes, these soldiers are pretty stupid for riding in the back of an un-armored vehicle

They are probably 2nd behind America as far as being a superpower is concerned and they are not very far behind. These marines are stupid, lucky it was a small IED and not a sniper, still American troops are probably the worst in the world as far as training goes.
