Right. It's clips like these that are giving us dumpster divers a bad name. To the people who made this video, please look elsewhere. I am growing very tired of seeing the same kind of typical shit on Youtube. If you want a true leason in dumpster diving then watch my video "Travisty's Trashure Hunt". Good for a shock value.

The consumer apocalypse?

Apparently there are a few processes by which you can 'reclaim rancid butter'. Worth the hassle? Probably not. Useful knowledge in a post-apocalyptic scenario I guess though :p

Oh and capitalism is a good thing.

That's gross as hell. I'm glad I make enough money to not have to live like a hobo.

Getting food from the bin is good for the environment,do you want your kids to think you are uncaring and wasteful? You are not worried about pollution and lack of exercise when you drive your car? And what might your kids think about your car addictive effects on the community? Your kids need a father who is more caring for the community instead of a father with an uneducated egotistical fear.

In Australia,a new chain of German supermarkets have opened up in about 2007,and one of their stores is the only supermarket ,in my experience,to pour cleaning liquids (strongly smelling of chlorine/bleach)over the foods in their bins. I take some of those foods and rinse them and then eat the contents after removing the skins/wrapping. So will the bleach be causing more food poisoning/law suits? It is an awful smell on my fingers too.

I've seen another vid of these people, and they're mostly targeting stores and are boycotting standard capitalism. The throwaway attitude of today's corporation isn't necessarily by their own fault. The law has a lot to do with that; that's why they rotate the dates as insurance on losses. I've seen cases were sometimes store would mark outdated foods down, but that's only during a close-out sale.
