this simple melody has haunted me for over a decade. It's beautiful, sparse, a bit wistful. It takes me to a purer place. What am I saying, I don't know. :)

A great bit of minimalism. Beautiful.

I believe Philip Glass is the savior of modern music (one of them anyway). He will crush the oppresion of MTV and it's unfortunate "slaves" (aka it's viewers).

i've just finished learning this as my music GCSE performance piece and I've just fallen in love with it. I first heard it on classic FM and then in my music class. I love it and would recommend it to anyone who is getting into classical, particularly orchestral music.
