Read all the columns at my website about crown molding. Get my Ebook with step-by-step instructions if all else fails.

hi im trying to make a inside left and insise right corner but there is a big gap??? so i take it that the walls are not 90 what can i do.

A flat triangular piece of wood is glued in that void. It looks spectacular. Try not to be less judgemental until you've actually done a room and seen how good it looks. Once the room is complete, your eye is not taken to the small piece of wood. I've never had a customer complain about that small piece.

:) what to do with gap at inside corner ? Looks so stupid. This is usable just for outside corners.

Wait till gaps are the widest. Caulk with urethane caulk.

what is the best product to use for join's, the caulking I used on the crown in my basement opens and closes with the seasons. Is glueing (MDF) or PLP a good idea?

Take your time, cut the test pieces and you will do fine.

Wow, thanks for taking the time to up these videos. I just purchased a house and adding crown molding was atop the list of things I want to do (or rather things I was told to do by my better half).
You make it look so easy!

Correct! This is the only way to wrap crown around those rounded corners done down south and the southwest.

man , we do them corners in all the houses here in tx .. cause the use that round corner stuff when tape and beading
AsktheBuilder (July 19th, 2007 @ 11:30 am)
Yep, on tape I *forgot* to tell people to cut a small flat triangular piece of wood to fill the gap on the inside corner. It is really simple to do that. I just glue it in place.
