Kurt Angle has a big mouth
I respect the guys accomplishments and his abilties as a wrestler but a big mouth does not take you far in the fighting world.
He could get away with that in the wrestling world but when you do the real fighting stuff with no predetermined outcome or scripted fights there is no turning back.
Chuck Liddel made a good point that Angle has never ever gotten or taken a punch

There is no doubt that pro 'rasslers have to be tough to endure the rigorous travelling schedule and the pain that comes from taking the variety of bumps. There is also no doubt that some of them eg. Kurt Angle, Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, Charlie Haus, Scott Steiner, Steve Williams have legit and impressive amateur backgrounds. With respect to Kurt Angle he is almost 40 enduring years of bumps and he is therefore not as mighty as he was at Foxcatcher and the olympics back in the 9o's.

Tough as fuckin nails.Watch Goldberg when he smashed the windows of that limo, cutting an artery and acting like nothing happened. Most people are blinded.Scripted and fake are two very different things people.

You cannot argue with a lot of these idiots here. They do not understand about "pro-wrestling" when the wrestlers shoot or work stiff. They act like Kurt has never been hit.He has wrestled concussed, had his nose broken in match, fought with a tumor in his neck etc.. I have the privelage of following MMA and "pro" wrestling and understand the nature and history of both. Most people here don't.Watch a some wrestlinggonewrong stuff.Wrestlers wrestling with broken necks etc..

the hardest thing for a wrestler to do when they come into mma is the transition to strike with his opponent.

Assuming that Angle learns striking...
I think he could take him down, Chuck would get yp, and after a while, he would stuff Angle's shots, and as Angle backed away, would get KO'ed.

That was many years and hundreds of beers ago. A lot of us who had competed at the collegiate level and were aspiring olympians trained with Dave Shultz at the Olympic facility. Kurt was an incredible wrestler at that time and is still a great athlete today. If Kurt had gotten into mma in 97' he would have been a force to be reckoned with. He'll admit that today his neck is still in bad shape and the bumps those pro rasslers take beat the shit out of ur body. Either way don't count him out.

you are by far the dumbest person that ive seen comment on that subject. You obviously dont know shit about MMA and you must be one of those trailerpark thrash who still thinks that WWE is real... why do you think the E in WWE means Entertainment? Because it's ONLY for entertainment, nothing is serious about these clowns. Lidell may have a gut, but he knows how to fight, kurt angle only knows wrestling and he couldnt do any of his shitty moves while being punched in the face by a pro MMA fighter
