The Garbage Disposal Unit is a metaphor for the turbulent relationship between a person and their 'significant other'. The 'repair operative' can be identified as the counsellor brought in to heal the relationship, bringing joy, peace and understanding, clearing the way for them to bring children into the world. Write a thesis in not more that 5000 words to be handed in before Passover.
